Traditional Therapy
Traditional talk therapy can address an array of different symptoms, needs, and struggles that a person is experiencing. Psychotherapy typically focuses on working with the cognitive level of mind. Every therapist and visit is unique, catering to each individual’s unique circumstances. The hope is to capailzie on each person’s resilence to assit htem in working through distressing times to achice thier wellness goals. It is standard for therapists to discuss the primary issues and concerns in your life during therapy sessions along with any information from your past that you feel may be pertinent. There may be times when you are asked to take certain actions outside of the therapy sessions to solidify the work done during sessions. It is very important to have a good connection with your therapist. We encourage people to give a therapist three to four sessions to see if it will be a good fit; at that time if you feel like it is not a good fit we encourage you to be upfront with your therapist as methods/approaches can be adjusted, however if it is best to seek out another professional we will absolutely be supportive of this as we are dedicated to ensure you get the treatment that is best for you.
